As stipulated by the tender drawn up in 2013, the reconstruction of the original statue was completed by 2015. The artists – András Engler, Botond Polgár and János Meszlényi Molnár – made the monumental statue based on photographs of it.

Our exhibition displays the life-size plaster replica of the winning project, which is a reduced-scale version of the original. The final version was implemented by enlarging this copy and adding important alterations necessitated by its monumental size; it was unveiled in 2016 in its present location, on Kossuth Square.
